Heavy metal separators
A high-efficiency modular filter with unique properties that is installed in a well or other equivalent enclosed area. Depending on the chosen filter medium, rainwater from normal roofs, metal roofs, and trafficked areas, including intensely trafficked surfaces up to 1000 m², can be purified.

Hydrosystem – Heavy Metal Separator
Product information
The requirement to treat our stormwater is increasing every day! The key to treating water is the ability to separate Suspended Solids (TSS) as the majority of pollutants such as heavy metals and hydrocarbons are bound to smaller particles, especially those under 200 microns. Our Hydroshark is specially developed to treat and separate these particles.
However, if the water's pollution and concentrations turn out to be
in addition to the usual or if the demands for purification are extremely high, for
to be able to be released to specially selected recipients, is our
Hydrosystem an effective and compact (LOD) supplementary
”Wastewater treatment plant.
The hydrosystem is equipped with zeolites which both adsorb
and absorbs fewer particles/metals in solid form but
primarily aimed at handling it in a loose state. In addition
active charcoal is also included, which binds different hydrocarbons in a
optimal way. Last but not least, we have added Calcium Silicate
to reduce phosphate emissions. Our Hydrosystems are third party
tested as a guarantee of promised purification parameters.
Function
1. Water to be filtered/purified is fed via the pipeline into the filter (at the bottom).
2. After passing the inlet, the water enters the hydrodynamic separator which creates a strong radial flow. This causes the particles to begin to sediment, primarily the heavier particles such as sand, which then fall to the bottom of the filter.
3. At the bottom of the filter there is a special collection container for sludge/sand/etc. which is accessible via the ”bypass” inside the filter body. (Emptying is done by sucking the container empty).
4. The filter media are located in the middle of the filter body, and since the water flows in an upward direction, it must pass through them, absorbing unwanted fine particles in various stages during breakdown. The filters now bind to the particles/contaminants, and what passes through is purified water. There are outlets at the top of the filter for easy cleaning if the filter media tend to clog due to heavy temporary soiling/contamination.
5. Once the water has passed through the filter media, on its way up through the filter body, a further purification step takes place in the process, i.e. via an oil separator, oil or similar liquids can also be separated off, and the purified water, which ends up in the surface layer, is led out through the filter outlet.
Variations
Hydrosystem Standard
HS 1000 and HS 1500 are the base units in all systems. Easily fitted into a single well.
Hydrosystem 1500 Combi System
A compliment, depending on the available space, for managing larger connecting areas and flows can be to connect several units in parallel via a distribution well. Accessories for the distribution well are also available. Most often a slightly more cost-effective solution.

Sizing
To select a suitable filter solution – follow the points below
1. What surface area is relevant where rainwater is collected and needs to be managed, and what is the potential traffic intensity?
2. What flows are applicable and what is the potential rainfall intensity?
3. Prioritised subjects to be filtered/absorbed?
4. Installation options/limitations?
Maintenance
1. The amount (height) of sludge or sediment is measured at the bottom of the filter. A fixture attached to a measuring tape is lowered through the filter's bypass.
5. The custom-designed spray nozzle is placed beneath the filter units. Both air and water are directed through the nozzle, which washes the dirt upwards through the filter.
