Tunnel infiltration
The concept functions effectively in conjunction with macadam and, through the tunnel's efficient fill rate, the total amount of macadam can be significantly reduced, resulting in supplementary installation possibilities. However, the tunnel is always surrounded by a structural layer of smaller macadam fraction (up to 16/32) which ensures its load-bearing capacity.

Volume
The design allows for a water/net volume of 96%.
Design
Robust design provides outstanding load results that can withstand heavy traffic (HGV/SLW60, axle load 20 t) with a cover depth of at least 1 m.
Stackable
Stackable modules provide exceptional storage space (1.6 m³/tunnel). A trailer can hold e.g. +300 m³ depending on configuration.
Simplicity
Simple cost-effective design. Quick installation via overlap.
Sustainability
Made from recycled HDPE with good UV and chemical resistance; combined with 100% renewable energy, it has a minimal carbon footprint. Designed to last for over 50 years.
Compatibility
Compatible with our other stormwater attenuation systems. Smart combinations of variants give you a cost-effective overall solution for your needs.
Pluvimax - Tunnel Infiltration
Product information
Each tunnel has a length of just under 2.4 m (effective volume 1.6 m³ = installed volume 2.4 m³) which guarantees quick installation and is stackable for optimal logistics & environment. A trailer can hold, for example, +300 m³ depending on configuration.
The associated side gables, ”Start & Stop” sections (volume 0.1 m³/pc), have integrated connection possibilities both upwards and downwards covering diameters of 100-300 mm. Pluvimax can advantageously be used for infiltration but also suits where only attenuation is applicable.
The robust Tunnelling sections (weight = 32 kg/each) are manufactured from controlled and recycled HDPE and can withstand loads equivalent to heavy traffic at covering depths of min 1 m. A geotextile must always be used underneath and can also advantageously be used as a direct enclosing layer for the tunnelling sections themselves. If lower covering depths are required and where Macadam is not prioritised as above, we recommend, for example, our Pluvial Cube, the market's most flexible ”Cassette” solution.

Concept
A
Ensure a base layer of at least 10 cm. It is recommended to use, for example, 16/32 macadam.
B
Structural fill. It is important not to use too large a fraction, as this surrounding layer ensures the load-bearing capacity of the tunnels themselves. The smaller the fraction, the better; 16/32 works excellently, but we recommend a maximum of 32/63.
C
Levelling layer. If gravel or similar is intended to be used, place a geotextile to separate it from the structural fill. Smaller fractions of macadam can also be used here.
D
Backfilling is used to the extent that sufficient cover depth is obtained.
