Oil separators
Oil separator series suitable for locations with oily wastewater or where there is a risk of oil spills. The separators have been developed in collaboration between Denmark's leading experts in wastewater treatment and plastics technology, as well as several of the country's contractors.
SMART SOLUTIONS
Flexibility in every project
The oil separators are simple and quick to install thanks to a very low installation depth, the tank's low weight, and the cast-in lifting eyes.
In the range of oil separators, a distinction is made between Class 1 coalescing separators and Class 2 oil separators. We cast tanks for both smaller and larger treatment plants. The plants are available in 3, 6, and 10 l/sec. As coalescing separators, there is also a series from 15 l/sec upwards.
The facility's structure
When it comes to oil separators, it is always the local municipality that must approve the construction of the facility. Normally, an oil separator facility consists of a sand trap, an oil separator, and a subsequent sampling well. Often, there are also requirements for an alarm on the oil separator.
Coalescence separator (class I) A coalescence separator is a Class I type oil separator, which is a designation from the European standard for separators, SS-EN 858. Class 1 is a quality designation for separators with outlet concentrations below 5 mg oil/l during testing.
Coalescence separators should be used if oil has emulsified in water, for example, in places where high-pressure cleaners are used or when soap/chemicals are used. All coalescence separators from 3-10 l/sec are supplied with an automatic float that blocks the outlet when the oil layer is full. Class II oil separators are approved as Class II with an outlet concentration of max. 100 mg/l of free oil during testing. The separators can be supplied with or without an automatic float. Approval and CE marking: Separators are tested and approved by the Danish Technological Institute according to SS/EN 858.
